In an inspiring joining of hands, ties between the French Embassy in India and Amrita institutions have strengthened. His Excellency M. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France to India, visited Amritapuri to meet Amma.
Describing it as “a promising prospect”, he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the French Embassy and Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, laying the foundation for collaborations in the fields of health, education, and social outreach.
His Excellency was accompanied by his wife, the Consular General of France in Pondicherry, M. Etienne Rolland-Piègue; the Health and Social Affairs Attaché at the Embassy, M. Charles Mahy; along with other social affairs and communication advisors from the Embassy of France in Delhi.
He also met with French nationals residing at the Ashram and expressed his admiration and appreciation for their dedication and contributions to Amma’s humanitarian initiatives.
