The Indian Embassy in Paris, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), and the Museum of Sacred Art (MOSA) organized the inaugural event for the new Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in Paris on March 26th. The event marked the opening of the exhibition “Living Arts of India,” which runs through June 30. It was a wonderful occasion for enthusiasts of Indian culture to come together.
The Ambassador of India, His Excellency Sanjeev Singla, welcomed the guest of honor, Ms. Éléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Among the guests were the center’s director, Ms. K. Nandini Singla; Ambassador Vishal Sharma, India’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO; as well as representatives from the arts, media, business, and fashion sectors.
India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S Jaishankar, was in Paris during the occasion and visited the center to celebrate Swami Vivekananda’s vision to bridge the East and the West.
“I witnessed impressive expressions of cultural and spiritual heritage of India. I am confident that the facility will serve as a hub in Paris for deepening interest in Indian art and culture,” he said.

“The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, supported by the Indian Embassy, is a magnificent, long-awaited venue destined to showcase the richness of Indian culture in the heart of Paris,” expressed Swamini Amritajyoti Prana, Amma’s senior disciple in France.
“The opening ceremony brought together enthusiasts and connoisseurs, creating an atmosphere that was at once luminous, vibrant, and deeply alive. A new space has thus opened, dedicated to connection, beauty, and peace.”
On the second day of the inaugural exhibition “The Art of India Today,” the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center hosted a fascinating panel discussion highlighting the deep cultural and artistic ties between India and France.
The Vedic Federation of France, chaired by Swamini Amritajyoti Prana, is partnering with the Cultural Center to present a spiritual film festival featuring monthly screenings of selected films, followed by discussions and social gatherings.
