Amma was joined by celebrated author Pierre Lunel and renowned filmmaker Lisa Azuelos as she arrived for one of her largest programs in Europe.

With harmony and hope, about 20,000 people gathered across three days to be with Amma in Aix-en-Provence. Southern France is home to one of the largest programs for her Europe Tour. The local arena resounded a simple message in the hearts of devotees: aimer et servir le monde—love and serve the world.

Celebrated author Pierre Lunel released his second book about Amma. In his address, he joyfully shared, “When I dug into the wonders of Amma’s teachings, I found a diamond. That precious gem of her words is, ‘If you want to change the world, start by changing yourself.’”

He continued, “Your body and mind are essential to live, but if you do not care for your soul, you have missed the true goal of human life.”

Lisa Azuelos is a renowned director who is also deeply inspired by Amma. She expressed gratitude for teachings on how to live a life founded upon what truly connects us as human beings.

“Amma teaches me to express love in my life. She teaches me to swallow my anger. And what I try to do in my films is to share that love. When the audience leaves the theatre, I hope they carry more love in their hearts,” she said. She then shared the last line from her next film.

“’To transform the world is to turn chaos into love.’ That’s what Amma taught me and what I try to convey.” A radiant smile spread across the filmmaker’s face when she arrived in Amma’s arms.

From October 29th to 31st, many shared they could feel the resonance of Amma’s love in their hearts, something that created a tangible unity.

Swamini Amritajyoti first met Amma in India in 1988

One of the elements was inspiration from Swamini Amritajyoti Prana, Amma’s senior disciple who guides the French Ashrams. She signed copy after copy of her autobiography that shares deep reflections on life with Amma—Le Bonheur est une Décision (Happiness is a Decision).

Patrick Galoche, one of Amma’s renunciates from France, also gave insights on how Amma leads us on this path, aligning us with her own happiness.

“What makes Amma happy? This seemingly easy question reveals an unexpected depth. Amma once explained, ‘Amma sees a hidden Amma in each of you.’ This means Amma is an external reflection of our own Self, which is bliss,” he explained.

Patrick Galoche explored the interlinking between Amma’s happiness and our own

“The more we act with genuine love and help others without expectation, the more we experience our interconnectedness. This realization deepens our happiness, harmony, and compassion until we understand that the source of true joy already resides within us—it is love itself.”

It was not until around 7:30 am on November 1st that Amma embraced the last person in the arena. Without taking a moment’s rest, she began the more than 800km journey to her Ashram near Paris, Ferme Du Plessis.

Amma’s next tour stop then continues in nearby Chartres.
