Amma and the President of India will lead rituals to install the Shri Rama Yantra, a sacred geometric diagram to invoke peace and protection.

Amma arrived in Ayodhya today to take part in the Shri Rama Yantra Pratishta at the city’s Shri Rama Temple complex. The auspicious ceremonies take place Thursday, March 19, and coincide with the start of Chaitra Navratri, the Hindu New Year.

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, will accompany Amma in leading rituals to install the yantra on the second floor with prayers for world peace and divine protection. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has organised the large-scale gathering with over 7,000 invitees.

Around 1,200 people have accompanied Amma from Amritapuri on a specially arranged train to Ayodhya and back. They include her disciples, ashram residents, and devotees from across the world. In anticipation of this sacred event while humanity faces dark times, Amma’s yatra has deepened prayers of gratitude for her love and compassion for all.

Also known as the Shri Rama Raksha Yantra, the geometric diagram is a spiritual tool to invoke the blessings of Lord Rama, who is the epitome of virtue, bravery, and dharma. At the Shri Rama Temple, pujaris from across the country are leading Vedic rites over the days.

The temple complex was inaugurated on January 22, 2024 in an elaborate ceremony led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In honour of Rama’s birthplace, the idol in the innermost sanctuary is Ram Lalla, Lord Rama as a child.
