This Amritavarsham we were fortunate to witness the release of four new books that offer spiritual seekers and devotees an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Amma’s teachings and the timeless wisdom of Sanatana Dharma.
‘Amritaragam’ authored by Swami Pranavamritananda Puri was the first publication offered to Amma. The first copy was accepted by renowned Malayali poet Prof. V. Madhusoodanan Nair, who was also this year’s Amritakeerti Puraskar recipient.
It is a book about Amma’s unique relationship with her ashram residents. The relationship between the Guru and disciples is beyond description. A Guru has no bias or limitations. Disciples have a sacred duty to strengthen this bond and live in alignment with the Guru’s teachings.
Life is a gift, and the Guru’s guidance is the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance and self-centeredness. When this song is sung with devotion, it can inspire devotion and deepen one’s love for the Guru.
Next, Swami Jnanamritananda Puri presented two new books, ‘Satyam Sanatanam’ (English) and ‘Ocean of Grace Volume 4’, to Amma for the release. Amma handed over the first copies to the General Secretary of Akhila Kerala Dheevara Sabha, Sri V. Dinakaran.
‘Satyam Sanatanam’ is a collection of Amma’s teachings on Sanatana Dharma, conveyed in her own words over time. ‘The Ocean of Grace – Volume 4’ is a collection of satsangs by devotees, delivered in the divine presence of Amma.
The final release was ‘Pearls from the Infinite Wisdom – Volume 2’ authored by Swami Amritachitswarupananda. Dr. P Venugopalan, renowned aattakadha writer and literary scholar, received the first copy from Amma.
It is a continuation of the meditation on Amma’s teachings and the timeless Upanishadic wisdom that began in the first volume. The primary topic here is on how to live free, being centered in our True Nature.
