Amrita Vidyalayams (Amrita Schools) are a national network of values based schools managed by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, under the guidance of Amma. The schools were begun with the purpose of providing quality and accessible education to serve the specific needs of the student community.

There are 55 English medium schools throughout India, out of which 28 are in Kerala. In addition, there are 6 schools in Kerala which are Government aided Malayalam medium schools.

Amma attaches great importance to providing education and training to children for the development of each child’s creativity, intelligence and character. This strong base helps students boldly venture into various fields of action to build a world of love, harmony, peace, mutual respect, and knowledge.
