Our Retreats

Retreats guided by Swami Amritaswarupananda
Swami Amritaswarupananda is Amma’s senior most disciple. He leads inspiring and transformational retreats that are offered both in-person and online.
Retreats are centered around insightful themes such as “Compassion: The Need of the Hour” and “The Myth and Reality of Happiness.” They offer an extraordinary opportunity to create a nurturing environment to support each individual’s commitment to deepening their spiritual practices. Each retreat provides avenues for profound contemplation towards inner transformation.
Programs feature engaging and inspirational guests, including Amma’s senior disciples, international speakers and professionals from various fields. Daily schedules include: Spiritual talks by Swami Amritaswarupananda and other disciples, Q&A sessions, vedic rituals, Amrita Yoga, guided meditation, devotional singing (bhajans) and more.

Silent Meditation Retreats
Silent retreats create an unparalleled opportunity to journey within, immersing ourselves in silence and spiritual practices. They support us to shift the direction of our energy inwards, away from the external world and toward our inner source of peace. Silent retreats allow us to deeply connect to our own depth, offering a joyful and deeply transformative experience.
Programs include: Guided and silent meditations, Amrita Yoga, inspiring talks and scriptural classes. Silent retreats are centered on spiritual themes and are offered for one, five or nine days as well as month-long immersions. Retreats are available in-person at Amritapuri, online or online partial retreats. Translations are also available in many languages.
Yoga Retreats
These dynamic Yoga Retreats feature beginning, intermediate or advanced yoga-asana classes, along with guided meditations and spiritual talks.
The essence of yoga teachings lies in the practice of deepening our awareness of the body and the breath, helping us become more focused and serene. Yoga also serves as a powerful way to nurture spiritual values such as patience and humility.

Theme-based Retreats
A variety of enriching, theme-based retreats are offered. Through online platforms, these retreats allow us to share the unique talents, know-how and wisdom that exists around Amma, and make it available to a broader audience.
Previous retreats include: Mantra & Spiritual Practices, Exploring our fears, The search for happiness, and more.
Scriptural Retreats
These on-demand retreats led by Amma’s senior disciples, guide us through the teachings of India’s ancient scriptures. We learn through spiritual talks, Question and Answer Sessions, discussions and scriptural chanting.
Participants will have access to the retreat for one year.

Finally, I found the door into the way back home, to myself. True happiness I find inside.
