Free Medical Camp Benefits About 500 People in Alappad, Kerala

A free medical camp reached around 500 people in the coastal panchayat of Alappad, Kerala. It was organized under the joint initiative of Amrita Hospital, Kochi and Karunagappally Oommen Chandy Palliative Care. 

Led by a team of around 100 members, treatment included over 60 specialist doctors from various departments such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Pediatric Cardiology, ENT, Skin, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, and Dentistry.

As part of the camp, free consultations and diagnoses were provided in both Allopathy and Ayurveda, and patients were also given free medicines.

As well, more than 50 volunteers with AYUDH, our youth wing, volunteered to support patients in accessing the services. 

The camp, held at Kuzhithura Government Fisheries Higher Secondary School, was inaugurated by Karunagappally MLA C.R. Mahesh. Brahmachari Sookshmamrita Chaitanya, Varun Alappat, and Punalur Somarajan also delivered speeches.

The Alappad Panchayat is home to Amritapuri.
