Ahimsa Yatra, an odyssey on foot to promote communal harmony, elevate moral standards and spread awareness against addiction, led by H. H. Acharya (Supreme Head) of Jain Śvētāmbara Terapanth, Mahashraman, has reached Amritapuri today. The pilgrim group was received with warmth at the ashram by the Brahmacharis and other residents led by Swami Sudhirananda Puri and have conveyed Amma’s wholehearted support to their cause. Ahimsa Yatra began on 9th November, 2014 from New Delhi and it will cover more than 15,000 Kms (932 miles) across the length and breadth of India and the neighboring countries of Nepal and Bhutan before its conclusion. Through this noble gesture, Acharya Mahashraman hopes to pave the way for a healthy society, a healthy nation and a healthy world.
