Amrita University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with King’s College London (KCL) for potential multidisciplinary collaborative opportunities in academics and research. Dr. Maneesha Sudheer, Dean of International Programs – Amrita University, and Prof. Funmi Olonisakan, Vice Principal, KCL, signed the MoU.
The successful research collaboration between our Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications, (AmritaWNA) and KCL’s Department of Geography has led to the development of this new partnership.
King’s College London is the 7th best university in the UK and 31st in the world (QS World University Rankings, 2019). This MoU is an effort to pursue deep collaborations such as twinning arrangements and student/faculty exchange between the various academic disciplines at the two institutes. It also has promising outcomes through various collaborations in specific areas of research.
After signing the MoU, Prof. Olonisakan said, “We at King’s are excited to sign the MoU with Amrita University and we look forward to future engagements to develop a strong collaborative research portfolio in multidisciplinary sciences and meaningful capacity-building programs for students, staff and researchers at both institutes.”
Dr. Sudheer said: “These new international collaborations are valuable tools that will accelerate our academics and enhance the quality of our research. Such networking and cooperation opportunities are extremely valuable for sharing information on new approaches and resources, while also acquiring specialized and new expertise.”
