Amma has blessed the launch of a new English book titled ‘Amma, Universal Mind (AUM)’, authored by Swami Amritageetananda Puri, one of Amma’s first disciples. This is Swamiji’s third book, in which he delves deep into the challenging task of controlling the mind and emphasises the importance of an Enlightened Master in guiding seekers through this journey.
Using insightful examples and teachings, Swamiji highlights how the human mind often stands as the greatest obstacle on the spiritual path. Echoing the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, where Bhagavan Krishna describes the mind as restless and difficult to control, he reassures readers that with regular practice and dispassion, it can indeed be tamed.
Just as the warrior Arjuna regained his strength with Sri Krishna’s guidance, individuals too need a Master to help overcome life’s challenges. Swamiji notes that under Amma’s compassionate guidance and practical teachings, controlling the mind and uniting with the Divine becomes a much easier path, leading toward the ultimate goal of human life.
