Alappuzha District: Another 10,000 women attend the AmritaSREE SHG meeting

More than 10,000 women who are members of AmritaSREE Self-Help Groups in Kerala’s Alappuzha District gathered in Kayamkulam for their annual meeting. Each SHG comprising 20 members received ₹30,000 (US $360) as working capital for the year.
Kayamkulam Municipality Chairman P Sasikala inaugurated the ceremony and emphasized the importance of empowering women through self-employment. Swami Vedamrtananda Puri delivered the blessing speech, and various dignitaries, including political representatives and AmritaSREE Coordinator R Ranganathan, addressed the gathering.
