MAM drew insights from Israeli innovators and social enterprises combining technology and social impact, and shared its grassroots work with underserved communities.
Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM) was invited to take part in the India–Israel Leadership Delegation on Social Inclusion & Innovation, held in Israel from 22–28 August 2026, with Dr. Bhavani Rao R. representing the organization.
Convened by the Consulate General of Israel to South India, the delegation created a platform for knowledge exchange among leaders working across social development, education, healthcare and inclusive innovation.
The delegation engaged with Israeli organizations, innovators and social enterprises to learn from approaches that combine technology, entrepreneurship and social impact. Throughout the visit, MAM also shared its experience of working with underserved communities through grassroots programmes spanning women’s empowerment, livelihoods, inclusive education, assistive technologies, digital literacy and community-led development.
A key highlight was the visit to the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, where the delegation interacted with innovations across agriculture, healthcare, education and other sectors. These included biotechnology and robotics solutions, AI-powered beehive technologies, deep-learning systems, farm sensors and AI/data platforms for precision agriculture, as well as technologies designed to support people with disabilities.
The exchange strongly resonated with MAM’s own approach: innovation should not be pursued for its own sake, but should help expand dignity, access, opportunity and resilience for people and communities.
The visit also opened possibilities for deeper India–Israel collaboration around inclusive innovation, sustainable livelihoods, assistive technologies and responsible emerging technologies.
