As part of the campaign for Soundarya Lahari Upasana, Sri Shankara Bharathi Swamy visited Mata Amritanandamayi Math. On Wednesday, a discourse was organized following Swami’s meeting with Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. The discourse mainly focused on Gurubhakti and Sadhana.
Shankara Bharathi Swamy is the head of the Yedathore Sri Yoganandeshwara Saraswathi Matt. He was a disciple of Shankaracharya Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswamiji of Sringeri Sharada Peetha. Swamiji is a great scholar, who had studied literature and Vedanta. Shankara Bharathi Swamy said, “I have been hearing a lot about the good deed that Amma’s Ashram has been doing for the common man from the devotees for a long time. But, I was not able to visit this place then. Now, finally, I was able to visit ashram as part of the campaign for Soundarya Lahari Upasana. Amma and ashram were very supportive in our endeavors. I could discuss with Amma for an hour and a half and Amma expressed her heartfelt feelings about society. Even I shared our direction plan with Amma and Amma also took the time to pay attention to them. I’m very happy with this.”
Along with Shankara Bharathi Swamy, others who visited Amma include, Haribrahmendrananda Tirtha Maharaj from Uttarakashi, Krishnatmananda Saraswati Swamiji from the Dayananda Ashram in Palakkad, Sri Ajay Kumar of the Saundarya Lahari Upasana Mandali, Prof Unnikrishnan, Sanskrit College, Trivandrum and Vachaspati Nandakumar of Samskrita Bharati.
