Saturday Satsang & C20 999 Challenge Inauguration with Swamini
The C20 Integrated Holistic Health Working Group’s 999 challenge aims to highlight how yoga and meditation can have a major impact on mental health and physical well being. Participants of the challenge have reported experiencing positive changes in their outlook, energy levels and overall sense of well-being. This, in turn, contributes to an atmosphere of peace within their schools and families.
The challenge is to practice 9 rounds of surya namaskar and 9 minutes of meditation for world peace daily for 9 days. At the end of the challenge, reflect on the impact it has made on your life.
The goal is to reach as many people around the world by #InternationalYogaDay, June 21st.
As part of the Saturday satsang, Swamini Ambikamrita Prana will inaugurate the challenge with a talk and demonstration of the practice. The demonstration of the Surya Namaskar will include modifications of the technique for men, women and chair poses.
You can register at ihhc20.org/999 to receive the instructions to then continue the 9 day challenge on your own. You can also kickoff the challenge on June 10th at 4:30 PM with a group practice session of the 9 Surya Namaskars and Peace Meditation led by Swamini. This session can be attended in person at the MA Center San Ramon or virtually. We will have a 2nd group practice session on Saturday June 17th at 4:30 PM to mark Day 8 of the challenge.
