Maha Shivaratri Satsang w/Br. Shantamrita Chaitanya
During Amma's 2016 Shivaratri message, she said, "Shivaratri is a celebration of sacrifice, dispassion and renunciation. Shivaratri teaches us to abandon all other thoughts in contemplation of God, and to realize the ultimate purpose of human life." Hold the date for Maha Shivaratri at MA Center Chicago, which is always observed with tremendous reverence and devotion. As in years past, this year's Maha Shivaratri program will include a talk on the significance of Shivaratri, abhishekam, chanting, bhajans, and a Shiva puja. Here's the schedule:
4:00 - 5:00 pm - Archana (chanting of the divine names)
5:00 - 5:45 pm - Talk on Shivaratri by Br. Shantamrita Chaitanya
5:45 - 8:00 pm - Shiva abhishekam, puja, bhajans, arati, meditation, prayers, and prasad
8:00 - 9:00 pm - Dinner break
9:00 - 12:15 am - Chanting and bhajans (includes a short tea break)
During the dinner break from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm, a delicious vegetarian meal will be available for a modest donation.
