Ayyappa Puja Satsang at MACC
Join us for our highly anticipated annual Ayyappa festivities, which will include a talk on the significance of Swami Ayyappa and the Sabarimala temple (a place of pilgrimage for people of many faiths), an Ayyappa puja, stirring Ayyappa bhajans, traditional deepam lighting (symbolic of the 18 steps to the main Sabarimala temple), and more. Here's the tentative schedule:
4:00 - 5:00 pm - Archana (chanting of the divine names)
5:00 - 5:30 pm - Talk on the significance of Swami Ayyappa
5:30 - 7:15 pm - Ayyappa puja and bhajans
7:15 - 7:45 pm - Arati, meditation, closing prayers, and distribution of prasad.
After satsang, a delicious vegetarian meal will be available for a modest donation.
