Karthika Puja For Amma's Birth Star

Aug 17, 2014 7:30pm-9:30pm (ended)

Puja performed in the Main House, Puja Room

A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon's position at the time of birth. Karthika is the Nakshatra - star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma's birth. Therefore, each time the moon returns to this spot in the heavens, approximately every 28 days, is considered to be a day of dedication to Amma and is celebrated by her children around the world.
