Edmond, Oklahoma

Welcome to the Edmond Satsang

Amma’s Edmond, Oklahoma, satsang meets once a month on a Friday beginning at 6:30 or 7:30 p.m. and lasts about two hours.

We watch an Amma video often from Amma's India ashram website, chant the 108 names of the Divine Mother, have a group meditation, sing spiritual songs (bhajans) accompanied by instruments, and end with arati and prayers for world peace.

Our community service projects include preparing weekend meals for the homeless through a local church, converting recycled plastic bags into sleeping mats for the homeless (“plarning”=plastic yarn) and joining monthly with the Oklahoma City satsang to shop, prepare and serve a healthy vegetarian meal to over 100 people at a shelter south of Edmond.  As a satsang group we also support Amma’s North American Tour by volunteering at the annual summer Amma program in Dallas, Texas.

During the pandemic we have suspended our in-person community service projects (seva) and our in-person meetings, and have been meeting virtually once a month on a Friday at 7:00 PM on zoom.  Please call or email to receive the zoom link and day.

We would love to have you join us and are happy to answer any questions you might have. Please email: Edmond.Satsang@ammagroups.org or call 405-406-4860
