Welcome to the Arvada Satsang
Our satsang gathers from several cities around the Denver area every month on the second Saturday at 6:30pm. We meet in Dhanya's home and you can use the map on this page to get directions, or call 303-467-2077.
We start the evening with sharing, announcements and a short reading. Everyone participates in singing and playing devotional music followed by a short meditation and a vegetarian dinner. Children are incorporated into the program as they wish or can play in the playroom close by.
We are involved in several long-time service projects:
- Mother's Kitchen at the Boulder Shelter where we purchase, prepare and serve 160 meals for the homeless each month. This program has been meeting consistently for over a decade.
- The Burrito Project in Lakewood where 150 sack lunches are assembled and delivered to the homeless in downtown Denver.
- Several of our members volunteer to teach meditation in the Boulder County Jail. Many of us sign on for helping with Amma's tour in Albuquerque each summer, according to individual time, skills and preference.
