Amma in Atlanta - Summer 2019

Airport Transportation

While there will be no Amma shuttles to and from the airport, please know there are multiple options of traveling between the airport and the program that are easy to navigate, low-cost and eco-friendly. Please read below for more details.

Airport MARTA Transit - $2.50

MARTA is Atlanta's Public transportation system (view map online). For route details, you may download "MARTA on the Go" app - in addition to maps and schedules, you can view the next arriving trains in real time, and you can easily plan your trip using Google Maps

The Airport MARTA Transit Station is directly connected to the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Domestic Terminal at the end of baggage claim (more info on navigating the airport MARTA station). Red and gold trains stop at the station, with direct service to and from Peachtree Center Station, the nearest station to the Amma Atlanta Program at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (~6 min walk). There is a train that leaves the Airport MARTA station about every 5-10 minutes from 5am to 8:30pm, and then every 20 minutes from 8:30pm to midnight. The travel time from the Airport to Peachtree Center Station on MARTA is 17 minutes. From Peachtree Center Station, the Amma program is just a few blocks away (Google Map View and Directions).

UberPool - $4

Ubers and Taxis are readily available and will meet you outside of baggage claim (follow signs in the airport). From the airport to the venue, UberPool prices range from $3-5, and UberX prices range from $15-19 (view Uber estimate). Lyft charges a slightly higher rate (estimate here). Taxis have a possible flat rate of $30, but can range between $28-45. For Taxi phone numbers and fare information, click here

Rental Cars

There is a free SkyTrain that will take you to the Rental Car Center in just 5 minutes. The elevated train travels in a loop 24 hours a day, and quite frequently. Trains arrive every three minutes during peak daytime hours and no more than every 10 minutes at night. It's located at the end of baggage claim, just outside the doors marked "Ground Transportation". For your convenience, we've summarized driving directions from the airport to the program

Buses - Not available

No MARTA buses depart from the Airport station, but there is a Greyhound FlightLink Station on the lower level of Terminal North. Use the down escalator in the North Baggage Claim area.
