Tarpanam Ceremony for Departed Ancestors

Honoring our departed ancestors through Tarpanam - Tarpanam is a traditional ritual where oblations are offered to one's departed ancestors.

"Through this ritual we are showing our respect, our gratitude, towards our departed ancestors. Giving verbal thanks only remains as words and does not get translated into action. By partaking in this ritual, we are performing action - spending some time for others, spending money for them and chanting mantras. We therefore get purified, creating positive vibrations." - Amma

The Tarpanam is a traditional ritual and is performed to benefit and appease deceased family members, regardless of when they passed away. The MA Center will be conducting a Tarpanam ceremony to pay homage to departed ancestors. Each participant will have an individual seating with puja items, to perform the ceremony for their departed ancestors. This guided participatory ceremony will be led by a devotee.

For a guaranteed seat for the puja, please pre-register for the event to attend. We cannot guarantee a puja seat for walk-ins on the day of the puja as supplies are limited and based on the number of pre-registrations.
