Navaratri celebration - Daily Puja & Bhajans

Navaratri in Amrita Hall from Sunday, September 29 through Monday, October 7. Swamiji will be leading Bhajans for four of the evenings - September 30, October 1 and 2

The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days, three days each are devoted to honoring the divine qualities of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati.

Navaratri is traditionally an auspicious time for starting new ventures. The tenth day on Tuesday, October 8, is the Vijayadasami Puja, representing the day of victory.

DURGA PUJA:
•  Sunday, September 29, 7:30 PM, Puja, Bhajans & Arati
•  Monday, September 30,  7:30 PM, Puja, Bhajans led by Swamiji & Arati
•  Tuesday, October 1, 7:30 PM, Puja, Bhajans led by Swamiji & Arati

LAKSHMI PUJA:
•  Wednesday, October 2, 7:30 PM Puja, Bhajans led by Swamiji & Arati 
•  Thursday, October 3, 7:30 PM Puja, Bhajans & Arati
•  Friday, October 4, 7:30 PM Puja, Bhajans & Arati

SARASWATI PUJA:
•  Saturday, October 5, is part of the Saturday evening program
    6:00 PM - Special Saraswati Puja performed by Bri. Rema Devi at 6 pm and Bhajans.
The puja is open to all free of charge. Sponsorship for personal intention (sankalpa) for an attendee or a loved one is available.

Note: Books, tools and instruments for blessings in one's education, artistic pursuits or profession can be brought on this day, to be taken back on Vijayadashami, after the puja.

VIJAYADASAMI PUJA:
Vijayadasami - Day of Victory, Tuesday, October 8, 7:00 – 8:00 AM, Puja and Prasad.
This is the 10th and final day of Navaratri. A day that is considered to be auspicious to start new ventures. The items kept for blessings, like your books and instruments can be taken back after this puja is over.
