International Day of Yoga Celebration

In honor of the International Yoga Day, the MA Center  is hosting a FREE day of yoga and meditation.

All adults and children over age 10 are welcome to attend and experience practicing the Amrita Yoga technique and IAM Meditation. There will be special activities and modifications to the yoga practice for kids and seniors.

This year’s theme is Climate Action. There will be a short presentation about Amma’s teachings and recommendations on what we can do to help protect the environment and reduce global warming.

No registration is needed.

Schedule:

9:30 am: Welcome and sign in.
10:00 am: Amrita Yoga - Suitable for all levels
11:15 am: IAM Meditation
12:00 - 1:00 p.m: Climate Action Presentation, followed by Reflection Circles and Prayers for Peace

More about International Day of Yoga:

On December 11th, 2014, the 193-member United Nations General Assembly established 21st June as the International Day of Yoga with a record 177 co-sponsoring countries. The goal of this day is to promote wider dissemination of information about the benefits of practicing Yoga for the health of the world population. Yoga also brings harmony in all walks of life and thus is known for disease prevention, health promotion and management of many lifestyle-related disorders.
