M.A. Center New England

Socks for the Homeless

We are happy to announce that MAC New England is resuming Tube Socks for the Homeless Embracing the World Project.

Individuals experiencing homelessness suffer in a multitude of ways including being vulnerable to the elements especially in cold and wet weather. These individuals are in need of protecting their feet. We will be donating new tube socks to Amos House homeless shelter located in Providence, Rhode Island. Amos House manages the largest soup kitchen in the state, provides social services to over 15,000 people a year and housing nearly 165 men, women and children a night.

You can contribute to this important humanitarian effort two ways:

  • Cash donation which Pranata will collect at satsangs during the cold months
  • Check made out to “M.A. Center” and note “Socks for Homeless” on the memo line of the checks. Please contact ronnasanchez@verizon.net for address info.

All monetary donations in December will be matched!

Pranata will purchase socks with your monetary donations and drop them off at Amos House.

Please note that we will not be able to accept donations of socks

Thank you for helping Amma’s children.
