The Farm is blessed with a visit with Swamiji

Br. Ramananamrita Chaitanya holding freshly picked green beansThe Farm was blessed with a visit from Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya on Saturday, July 16. He visited the vegetable garden where he spent some time harvesting with the team. Swamiji was impressed with the size of the garden, and the various and bountiful vegetables growing. It is great to see the seedlings and seeds come to life! The veggie garden is now beaming with different colours and shapes: Zucchini, green beans, Swiss chard, kale, beets, Malabar spinach, chillies, and more...

Cherry picking is over for another year! It was an great year for cherries. The birds are also enjoying the few cherries still left at the very top of the trees.

Father and son harvesting beans togetherThank you to all who helped with the picking and selling! The farm manager reports that traps placed in the orchards to monitor insect levels indicated a need for further organic spraying. The spraying was done last weekend. This week his team will be inspecting the orchard tree by tree to assess the ongoing needs.

Help is always welcome on the farm, and greatly appreciated. Can you spare a few hours to help us with the weeding, harvesting, and roadside selling? Wear your favourite cap, fill up your water bottle, and join us at the farm! The team are on the grounds every Saturday from 9:30 Am - 4:30 Pm.
