Welcome to Our Satsang
Tampa Bay Amma Satsang meets usually once per month in Clearwater on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone is welcome at Amma’s satsang: newcomers, spiritual seekers, and devotees alike. People participate from all over the Tampa Bay Area as well as Bradenton, Sarasota, Ft. Myers and Naples. Please join our email list to receive bi-monthly notices of our Satsang Calandar and other satsang activities.
Our monthly satsang program usually consists of:
- Bhajan practice 1 hour prior to the regular satsang program (optional for those interested in practicing & learning Amma’s Bhajans or devotional songs)
- Opening Prayers & Manasa Puja with the recitation of the 108 Names of Amma
- A short reading of Amma’s teachings
- A 10-15 minute DVD of Amma
- Bhajans or devotional singing of 6-8 of Amma’s bhajans
- Arati or waving of the lights & Closing Prayers
- Short meditation
Satsang is followed by a light vegetarian potluck meal or snack and an opportunity for devotees and newcomers alike to share their Amma experiences, Amma’s teachings and humanitarian projects, and in planning for upcoming local satsang and national Amma events.
Tampa Bay Amma Satsang hosts Swami Tours (visits from Amma’s senior disciples) at least once a year, usually at a local yoga studio.
For Seva or service projects, we host Karma Kitchen, A Mother’s Kitchen Project at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg, preparing meals twice a month for families staying there. We also collect blankets and toiletries for those in need through our Mother’s Blankets, a local Mother’s Grace Project.
The satsang also sponsors the St. Pete Yoga Festival, which raises funds for Embracing the World, Amma’s Humanitarian projects.
We offer IAM20 & IAM Meditation classes several times a year.
