Diwali celebrated at the M.A. Center San Ramon on Saturday night October 18^th was true to it’s name as it is also known the "festival of lights."

Amrita Hall was filled with 400 people celebrating this ancient Hindu autumn festival signifying the victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. In addition to a satsang and inspiring bhajans, young people of Amrita Bala Kendra delighted the audience with a wonderful play complete with colorful costumes.

A delicious Diwali feast was offered to attendees, which included chai and traditional sweets. After dinner, the excitement continued with happy children of all ages holding sparklers outside Amrita Hall. Chairs were moved and the entire hall was filled with people participating in Dandiya dancing.

Clearly this was another wonderful Saturday evening at the M.A. Center San Ramon.
