Community Seva Day: Fall Seva Fiesta

On October 10, 2015, volunteers from around the Bay Area and beyond gathered at M.A. Center, San Ramon for our second Community Seva Day, a fall seva fiesta!

We began the day with meditation and prayer, then teamed up to tackle improvement projects around the property. Several teams focused on giving a fresh look to the Center’s most-used outdoor areas by painting fences and storage containers, removing old fencing and structures, and building new planters from recycled wood. Kids pitched in with a special painting project, and more volunteers selflessly supported the day’s activities by planning projects, hosting at the seva desk and cooking and serving lunch and snacks.

We also had fun at the end of the day with a piñata, hayrides, and fall-themed treats. Everyone brought good will and a selfless attitude, creating a heartwarming sense of community. See photos >

Now mark your calendar for January 16, 2016! The next Community Seva Day will be a beautiful day of planting trees here at the Center.
