The Amma 2014 Worldwide Silent Auction is Online!

The Embracing the World Silent Auction is happening now!

In honor of our beloved Amma's 61st Birthday, MA Centers of Los Angeles and San Ramon are currently offering very special AMMA items for Silent Auction. Many of these items have been used by Amma, and are from her recent 2014 North American tour. Some additional items have been donated by Amma's loving devotees. The auction is online and bidding began on August 29 at 11:59pm. Proceeds from this online auction will benefit Amma's local and international humanitarian service projects, collectively known as "Embracing the World."

Online auctions in the past have contributed to many of Amma's humanitarian projects across the globe, including Amrita Kuteeram (Amma's housing project), Disaster Relief efforts, and the Farmer's Relief Project. These auctions have built houses in India for the poor, contributed to the 2013 Typhoon Haiyan relief funds in the Philippines, the 2011 Japan earthquake, the 2010 Haiti earthquake disaster relief efforts, and the 2005 Hurricane Katrina relief funds in US, supporting both phases of the Tsunami relief efforts. More recently Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM) announced two massive charitable projects: a $500,000 relief-and-rehabilitation project in the flood-ravaged state of Uttarakhand (North India) and Amrita Swasraya Gramam, a project to adopt 101 villages throughout India ensuring proper housing for each villager along with social, educational, medical and community services for these adopted villages so that they may become self reliant and thrive as a community.
