Navaratri celebrations & Vijayadashami Puja
Navaratri, or Nine days of the Devi and Vijayadashami will be celebrated from Saturday, October 1 through Monday, October 10.
The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days, three days each are devoted to honoring the different forms of the divine mother, Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. Vijayadashami day is traditionally an auspicious time for starting new ventures.
DURGA PUJA:
• Saturday October 1st, 6 pm, Special Durga Puja by Bri. Rema Devi, Bhajans & Arati
• Sunday, October 2nd, 7:30 pm, Puja, Bhajans & Arati
• Monday October 3rd, 7:30 pm, Puja, Bhajans & Arati
LAKSHMI PUJA:
• Tuesday, October 4th, 7:30 pm, Puja, Bhajans & Arati
• Wednesday, October 5th, 7:30 pm, Puja, Bhajans & Arati
• Thursday, October 6th, 7:30 pm Puja, Bhajans & Arati
SARAWATI PUJA:
• Friday, October 7th, 7:30 pm, Puja, Bhajans & Arati
• Saturday, October 8th, part of Saturday program.
Saraswati Puja performed by Swamiji at 6 pm, followed by Bhajans.
**Books, tools and instruments to be offered for puja can be brought this day.
• Sunday, October 9th, 7:30 PM Puja, Bhajans & Arati
VIJAYADASHAMI PUJA: by Swamiji
Monday, October 10th, 7:00 am.
The day of final puja, and beginning for new learning and knowledge. Items offered for blessings on the 8th day of Navaratri will be ready.
