Welcome to Our Center

We gather to do both humanitarian activities and spiritual practices. Everyone is welcome to join us to do both, or to participate in just one side of what we do.

Here at the M.A. Center DC, we gather to do spiritual practices, or satsang, every Saturday from 5:30-9pm, afterwards we enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal. The evening starts with chanting, then a spiritual talk, followed by devotional singing and closing prayers.

Our humanitarian projects, which are an extension of Amma's Global Charities, include:

  • IAM Meditation Technique Courses
  • Mother's Kitchen: volunteers preparing and serving vegetarian dinner on the third Sunday of every month for approximately 45 people at a shelter run by Volunteers of America at 3525 Moncure Ave off of Colombia Pike in the Bailey's Crossroads area in Falls Church.
  • A retreat designed for children
  • A medical camp
