MACC celebrates Sri Rama Navami
Sri Rama Navami is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Rama, the 7th incarnation of Vishnu. This day also celebrates the wedding anniversary of Rama to Sita.
The 9th day (Navami) in the bright fortnight of the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra (March-April) is referred to as Rama Navami.
Swami Vivekananda has described Rama as “the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband, and above all, the ideal king.”
The Hindu epic `Ramayana', whose authorship is attributed to the sage Valmiki, narrates the life of Rama.
The special Satsang will start with Ronji delivering a short talk on the significance of Rama Navami. This will be followed by a special Puja to Rama, Bhajans, Ārati and a short meditation.
Following a short break, members of ABK and AYUDH would present a cultural event. The celebration will conclude with a delicious vegetarian dinner.
