AYUDH Michigan Project

AYUDH Michigan partnered with Baker College Flint

On Monday, the AYUDH chapter of the University of Michigan journeyed to Flint to partner with Baker College to join in the Martin Luther King Day of Service projects for 2017. This was comprised of four projects:

1) Creating Laundry Soap, made using grated bars of soap, for distribution to community closets in Flint.

2) Assembling "Literacy Bags" for children in Flint Community Schools, grades K through 5.

3) Writing cheerful Valentines Day cards for distribution to our country's veterans in two local Veterans' Hospitals for delivery in time the Holiday.

4) Cutting up plastic shopping bags to make "Plarn" which we then used to crochet sleeping mats for the homeless.
