Tsunami Relief - Amma in the Media

Since December 26, 2004, Amma has been providing relief to thousands of tsunami victims in India in the form of food, medical supplies & rehabilitation. These press releases indicate the magnitude of relief efforts undertaken in India and Sri Lanka.

On January 3, 2005 Amma announced her decision to donate Rs. 1 billion (approximately $23 million) towards the Tsunami Relief efforts across India in the states of Kerala, Tamilnadu & Andhra Pradesh. Excerpts of press coverage from this announcement are given below.
